Our firm has designed over twenty wastewater treatment upgrades. Some of our signature projects are described below.
Spring Creek POTW (Publicly Owned Treatment Works) Expansion Facility Plan—This included a PACT process for endocrine-disrupting compounds from a new hospital, solar panels, wind turbines, and effluent polishing with a wetted prairie followed by a bioswale.
Anaerobic Digester Supernatant Treatment—Using SBR, ammonia levels were reduced from in excess of 300 mg/L to less than 5 mg/L.
Constructed Wetland/Prairie—It was created in order to handle excess flow and provide temporary wet weather storage at the front end of POTW.
Antidgegradation Assessments—Over the last seven years, we have completed over 15 of them for POTW expansions.
Excess Flow Permitting—We successfully obtained permitting for new excess flow discharge to a lake, offsetting it by the village-subsidized low phosphate dishwasher detergent and zero-phosphate fertilizer program.
Value Engineering Analysis—We completed it for a major expansion along theFox River, resulting in capital cost savings in excess of one million dollars.
